The Marketing Orientation Meeting for the 5th Abia National Open Para-Badminton Championships was held today at the A.O. Centre, 14 Awka Street, by Clifford Road, Umuahia, ahead of the unveiling event for the upcoming tournaments.

The meeting, presided over by Mr. Chika Ojiegbe, Chairman of the Media Subcommittee, alongside Mr. Ukwa Chima Raymond, Secretary of the Marketing Subcommittee, brought together members of the marketing team with the primary objective of familiarizing them with their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations ahead of the championship, scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 12, 2025.
Key discussions centered on strategic approaches to sponsorship engagement, publicity, and community mobilization to ensure maximum visibility and support for the tournament. Attendees were briefed on the championship’s significance as a national sporting event and its potential impact on Abia’s sports development drive.
The orientation concluded with a call for commitment, innovation, and teamwork from all marketers to deliver a successful and widely celebrated championship.
